Income Officer (Housing) – C&C Housing London, London

Income Officer (Housing)

Salary: £29,213 FTE

Hours: Either Full Time (37 hours) or Part-time Considered.

Location: Based at London Waterloo with flexibility to work from home

Do you have at least two years of experience working as a Credit Controller? Are you keen to learn and develop new skills quickly as a specialist in the management of housing income?

Your Role
Prior experience in housing is not essential (but desirable) as we will provide the training you need in our housing management systems and processes.  We are passionate about developing our colleagues in line with their strengths.

You will be joining a brilliant Income Management team, proactively managing our rent accounts and maximising the income for our housing schemes and properties. Part of the role will include attending rent surgeries at our sheltered housing schemes, and as you become more experienced representing C&C at Court hearings and attending evictions.

Most of our residents are aged 55 and over. You will need an excellent balance of firmness with kindness and understanding to manage people that go into arrears on their rent, helping prevent people from getting into difficulties. If you already have some understanding of housing law, court possession proceedings or welfare benefits that would be useful.
